Behavioral Intelligence Lab @HKUST
行为智能实验室
Welcome to the Behavioral Intelligence Lab. We model, analyze, and explain how humans and AI agents behave and make decisions — from individuals to markets.
Our group strives to contribute to a human-centered future where technology truly serves people across diverse economic contexts. Our research bridges scientific insights from artificial intelligence, cognitive science, economics, and psychology with real-world practice. We investigate how economic incentives, consumer psychology, ethical governance, and market mechanisms can be thoughtfully shaped to align AI advancements with meaningful user well-being and social welfare outcomes.
Specifically, we are currently working on the following topics:
-
Develop behaviorally realistic and causally grounded models of how humans and AI agents make decisions.
-
Build user and agent simulations aligned with economic, societal, and ethical objectives.
-
Design agentic AI systems that enhance human wellbeing, especially in social and emotional domains.
